The 2025 Digital & Intelligent Technology Innovation Conference, themed “AI Empowerment · Intelligently Leading New Quality Productive Forces,” was held in Bo’ao, Hainan, on December 4. Hosted by Xinhuanet and co-organized by the Information Society 50 Forum and the Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence Scenario Applications and Intelligent System Evaluation under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, this event served as a parallel forum to the 2025 Entrepreneurs’ Bo’ao Forum series.

At the event, the Chairman of Shenzhen Sihoo Intelligent Home Co., Ltd. kicked off his speech with a set of health data to highlight the technological support behind the everyday yet critical people’s livelihood need of “sitting posture health,” while envisioning the future integration of ergonomic chairs with AI. In his view, these health pain points provide a core demand-driven direction for the innovation of products like ergonomic chairs.

Reviewing Sihoo’s 14-year brand development, Luo Huiping noted that its products have undergone four key iterations and upgrades, entering 85 countries and regions worldwide by virtue of superior product quality. The products have now advanced to an intelligent decompression phase, combining ergonomic chairs with intelligent and electrified technologies to achieve a leap from physical support to smart health services.

Luo Huiping exemplified that the product’s functions can help users fall asleep earlier and extend deep sleep duration during naps; additionally, the chair integrates with central control systems to intelligently adjust lighting, temperature, and background music, covering full-day scenarios from morning to evening. Whether for office work, naps, study, or leisure, it provides tailored support and services for users.

Looking ahead, Luo Huiping proposed two forward-looking visions: ergonomic chairs could become foundational connectors for brain-computer interfaces, particularly in the non-implantable field, leveraging close body contact for enhanced technological empowerment; moreover, as humans spend more time in virtual worlds, the products could monitor real-time body metrics, issue timely warnings for physical anomalies during virtual experiences, and even provide nutritional supplements or emergency aid, serving as a health and safety hub linking the real and virtual worlds.

The 2025 Entrepreneurs’ Bo’ao Forum series is hosted by the Brand Work Office of Xinhua News Agency, Xinhuanet, and the Hainan Branch of Xinhua News Agency, with the theme “Connecting the Globe, Leading the Future: New Opportunities in the ’15th Five-Year Plan’.” It gathers executives from Fortune Global 500, Fortune China 500, and industry leaders to discuss new development opportunities in the “15th Five-Year Plan” and explore new paths and initiatives for enterprises under the new development pattern.
